According to the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2022, Superior University is Pakistan’s top private-sector university.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are a well-known global performance table that evaluates universities’ commitment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 2030. (SDGs).
THE Impact Rankings this year evaluated almost 1,500 universities in 93 countries and regions, making them the most comprehensive and diverse university rankings to date.
The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by the UN Member States in 2015, serve as a road map for achieving a planet-wide sustainable future.
Universities are assessed in THE Impact Rankings based on their efforts to advance the SDGs both within and outside their communities.
THE Impact Rankings look at hundreds of pieces of statistics and qualitative evidence to determine how effective higher education institutions are at addressing important global issues.
Superior University organized week-long celebrations on all of its campuses to commemorate this historic milestone, which featured cake-cutting ceremonies and a variety of student-led activities.
During the celebration week, the institution held a magnificent event at its Raiwind Road Campus to commemorate the historic achievement.
Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of Superior Group, spoke at the occasion, saying that the journey toward excellence began in 2017 with an ambition to make Superior one of Pakistan’s greatest universities.
He stated that this historic milestone would not have been possible without Allah Almighty’s grace and the dedicated leadership of Dr. Sumaira Rehman, Rector of Superior University, who spearheaded this journey toward global recognition with the belief that educational institutions should have a long-term socio-economic impact to enable the inclusive communal development.
During her talk, Dr. Sumaira Rehman informed the Superior family that the university was adopting the Eyes High Research Vision 2025 to become the greatest research-oriented university in the region, and she challenged students and staff members to continue working hard to attain that objective.
Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, her matchless mentor, and his loving mentorship and unlimited trust, she claimed, were responsible for her exceptional performance.
She expressed her admiration for Superior’s outstanding teachers and ambitious staff, whose unwavering perseverance and dedication were instrumental in attaining this historic milestone. She exhorted the Superior Family to keep together in order to propel Superior to greater and more daring heights.
The week of celebrations came to a close with a day of appreciation, with prayers held in Superior’s Muqaddas Mosque to honor Allah Almighty for this incredible feat.
The khateeb remarked that the Holy Quran and Sunnah advise us to remain modest and submissive when we acquire worldly achievement and renown during his Friday sermon.
Superior has been about hard effort and dedication since its inception, and it has been the secret ingredient in Superior’s spectacular ascension to the global stage.
