My name is Muhammad Abdullah Arif, and I work as a Digital Marketer, Writer, and Translator on a freelance site (Upwork and Fiverr). I specialize in SEO, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, Article & Blog Writing, and Graphic Designing. I became interested in this area after seeing Sir Hisham Sarwar’s videos on freelancing in 2020. His interview motivated me so much that I decided to work as a Freelancer and earn money. Then I learned about Sir Hisham Sarwar, and my life would be changed as a result of him.
In 2018, I completed an intermediate at Punjab Group of College. Then I was admitted to the University of South Asia for a BSc Accounting & Finance BSAF degree, which I have recently finished 4th semester. However, when it came to Covid-19, I began online trading with Enrichers Investment Group, which began my income. However, in this instance, the money came from my pocket. I was curious how long it would persist.
Then I signed up for Fiverr. Gigs Rank has begun to earn. My account was banned 3 times, so it followed me. I now have 4th account. And now there’s a lot of money to be made. Never, ever quit up. My sister and family were very supportive, and I am especially thankful to Miss Humaira.
I was extremely disheartened and began to think that I am worthless and would never be successful in my life. But after reading several success stories on the internet, I began to believe that if others could accomplish it, so could I. I made a promise to myself, a word that I will never be disappointed, that I would never give up on myself, that I will study and work hard, and that I will leave my destiny to the Almighty.
Enrolling in Digiskills:
In life, every one of us is offered chances. All we have to do now is keep our eyes peeled and be prepared to act. One of my friends appears out of nowhere one day and tells me about Digiskills, Pakistan’s government’s free online skill training program.
Digiskills launched Batch 10 enrollments in November 2020, and it was at that time that I first visited Digiskills LMS. At the time, I knew nothing about freelancing. I started by taking Hisham Sarwar’s Freelancing course. I had a sense there was something important there. I began researching if working from home is a realistic option. Is it feasible to earn a living by working online? My biggest worry was if what I read on the internet was real or not.
Enrolling in ITHeights:
ITHeights announced SEO Batch 89 Enrollments in June 2021, and these courses have been available thanks to ITHeights. I simply had a sense there was something important there, and I never learnt to leave. And because I was curious about how websites rank, I started studying Sir Shahid’s SEO course, then I learned SEO, and now I also specialise in SEO. I really thank and admire Sir Shahid because he made this course very easy to understand for me, and it’s all because of his positive attitude, he truly cares about his students.
In addition, I attended all of Sir Hisham Sarwar’s Cohort 4 courses. I learned a lot from them.
The importance of Goal setting in Life:
I committed myself to master new talents and made a goal for myself. After careful consideration, I decided to focus on digital marketing and began watching Sir Hisham Sarwar’s YouTube channel for help. I’ve finally learned digital marketing after a few months. Working hard, I came up with the idea of offering my skills, but the issue was much bigger than expected. At the time, I had no idea how to speak English. English is a global business language, and that is a problem that had to be met. To be successful on the internet, I must learn English.
A few months before I graduate from college, I tell my friends about my intentions to use freelancing websites. Are you coming to join me?
Next, I found a book on a LinkedIn-related subject. “The Magic of Thinking Big” by David J. Schwartz was the title of the book. The first few chapters of the book really altered my perspective on the world. I was motivated and changed by it. I had never realized that a book could alter one’s views so significantly.
Success on Fiverr:
I started as a digital marketer and graphic designer on Fiverr in September of 2020, and by December of that year, I had mastered the art of ebook cover design, email marketing, Instagram marketing, Facebook ads, and e-commerce shop design. I initially placed an order on Fiverr and received my first order. I have just gotten my first Instagram Marketing order. I am a blue-eyed freelance, and customers all around the globe often approach me for work. I received $700 in income in a month. In less than 22 years, I went from Level 1 to Level 2. Getting promoted to level two was a dream come true within six months.
Success on Upwork:
I also had my Fiverr account blocked. I have two options to make: to give up or to press on I am grateful to my family and Humaira for their encouragement. Not even for a moment, these folks did not disappoint me. I once again got started working hard and established an Upwork profile. “Success is its own reward.”
The phrase, “If you can do it once, you can do it again.” Never give up!
Now that I have a freelance job, I joined Upwork in order to expand my freelance career on a new freelancing platform till I get that big break. I managed to do this in my first month of freelance work. I was ranked on page one of Google in the first month. I was delighted by the customer’s appreciation of my effort. In addition, my family and I were quite happy. It was considerably easier to finish the Upwork than the Fiverr. I earned $200 by completing five-star ratings during the first week.
Conclusion:
Fast Forward: After he poured his heart and soul into that effort, he withdrew the first sum of money he earned online. This amount was Rs.50,000. To this day, it is a very emotional event for him, and he promises that it will be a part of his life for years to come.
Today, he is busy delivering high-quality services to his customers.
About the last month, I’ve made a total of over $900 USD (1,47,979 PKR) from the freelance marketplace and clients. To date, the things I have learnt from my experience are “Don’t fear failure, and never fear criticism.”
If you put in the effort, you’ll succeed. Nothing is impossible; the only thing that stands in the way of you succeeding is yourself.
To work even harder, I’ve discovered that criticism helps. We can accomplish whatever we set our minds to through hard effort, unselfish devotion, and divine help. Look at your failures as valuable learning experiences, since they are a crucial part of our success.
